1st Place - $1000 Cash
2nd Place - $600 Cash

Accepting short films in any genre under 50 minutes in length. Films must be created by students in high school or home schooled- proof of student status is required.

Accepting short films in any genre under 50 minutes in length. Films must be created by students in college- proof of student status is required.

Accepting short films in any genre under 50 minutes in length. Films can be created by amateur or professional filmmakers that are either out of college or over 25 years of age.

GENERAL RULES
Greater Reading 4th Annual Film Festival, November 5-8, 2009, is now accepting entries for its feature film and short film competition. All genres will be accepted: animation, live action, documentary, memoir, narrative fiction, etc. The feature film competition is an open competition, accepting films from all levels of experience. The festival is seeking short films in three categories: high school students, college students and adults. Winners will be recognized during the festival.
Eligibility Requirements:
The feature film competition is open to everyone. The short film contest is open to everyone in three age categories: High School Students (Grades 9-12 in 2008-2009 school year); College Students (Under the age of 25 and enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program during the 2006-2008 school years); Adults.
Submissions to the Greater Reading Film Festival can be shot or created in any format (Film, digital video, animation, flash, etc.).
All films must be in English or subtitled in English.
Submissions length: feature films must be over 50 minutes but not longer than 180 minutes; short films must be under 50 minutes but not shorter than 2 minutes.
Submission format:
USA-Region playable DVD (DVD-R, DVD+R) at XP (Highest) quality (Full screen Hi-resolution). No other media formats (VHS tape, etc.) will be accepted.
How to Submit:
Must submit the Greater Reading Film Festival release for on-screen talent, voice and music.
Must submit a small filmmaker biography or back story no more than 250 words in length.
